Your child should write their daily homework assignment in their agenda books EVERYDAY! I will do the best I can to verify that each student has written the correct homework assignment before he/she leaves class. I expect the following to be followed throughout the year by my students :
I am responsible for MY OWN homework. I will complete the homework assigned following the instructions MY TEACHER has given. It is important that I return the materials sent home to school because they are often used the following day in class. If I do not complete my homework as assigned, I understand there will be consequences.
It is important that students complete their homework independently. This is not to say parents cannot help their student or aide them in their assignment, but they need to complete the assignment in their own handwriting, using what they learned in class that day or in a previous lesson. Additionally, students should be reading EVERY night for 20 minutes (and recording their time spent reading on their class' reading log, if any). Please check your student's agenda and encourage them to keep up with it!
